The Journaling Exercise That can Change Your Life

I’m talking about the kind of journaling that can take you from where you are now to where you want to go!

HOW TO GET STARTED

Think about your vision for your life.  Imagine how that feels.  Consider the possibility that what you’re thinking about isn’t just a pipe dream – it really truly could happen.

Next, begin journaling!  Write a minimum of 2-3 pages about what a day in your life AS IF – right now, at this very moment, you are living the life you want (that’s a mouthful!):

  • What does that look like?
  • Where are you?
  • Who are you with?
  • What are you doing?
  • Where are you off to?

Include all aspects of your day: professional, personal, financial.  For example, if you’re going to a restaurant (include the name) are you treating a group of your friends, or is someone treating you?  Incorporate the world around you: the environment (city? country?), sounds (what do you hear from your window?).  Blend in as many details as possible.  The more specific you can be, the more real this day in your life will feel to you.

People.  Places.  Situations.  These are the focus points of this kind of game changing journaling.
